Frequently Asked Questions
The key difference lies in the level of customization. Bespoke tailoring starts from scratch — a unique pattern is created for each client, based on multiple fittings and precise body measurements. Every detail, from the cut to the finishing, is entirely personalized.
Made-to-measure, on the other hand, uses a pre-existing base pattern that is adjusted to your measurements. It offers some customization in fit and fabric, but is less intensive than bespoke.
Bespoke: Typically requires 2–3 fittings, including a basted fitting (a rough version of the suit for adjustments).
Made-to-Measure: Usually requires 1 fitting, since the pattern is only slightly adjusted from an existing template.
